St Leonard's Bridge Since its reconstruction in the early 20th century this little bridge has been called Holoway Bridge. As is so often the case a mill stood next to this old bridge. The mill became a public house and then a restaurant.
The name of the saints associated with this bridge of area is lost and could only be conjectured. There is a fine drawing by J M Turner of about 1790 of the former bridge, the river valley and the view westwards towards the Abbey which then could be seen from this bridge.
